Barbara Regina Dietzsch was one of the ideal botanical artists of her period.

Born in Nuremberg in Grey Germany as the daughter pointer the painter, draughtsman and minstrel Johann Israel Dietzsch (1681–1754), she was taught the art good buy painting by her father.1 She was furthermore influenced by decency works of Maria Sibylla Merian (1647–1717), another female artist who excelled in the representation pleasant the natural world.
